A few ground rules for good times.
Terms of Service · Draft for operator review · Prepared October 30, 2026
1. Who we are & acceptance
rsv-we is an event invitation and RSVP service. The legal operator name, business mailing address, and support email must be supplied before public launch. These draft terms do not establish that a business has been registered or that legal review is complete.
By creating a host account or submitting an RSVP after final terms are published, you agree to those terms. In testing mode, all setup fees, guest payments, refunds, and payout balances are simulations with no monetary value. No real payment is collected and no real payout is made. The initial service is intended for adults 18 and older in the United States. Hosts are responsible for age restrictions and admission requirements for their events.
2. Your account & your invitations
Hosts and guests sign in using their own rsv-we email and password accounts. Guest accounts are required to submit RSVPs and claim wishlist items. Keep your account secure and provide accurate event details. You remain responsible for your event, venue permissions, safety, accessibility, food and alcohol compliance, licenses, taxes, and commitments to guests. rsv-we is a technology platform and does not organize or insure host events.
Published invitations are accessible to anyone who has the link when public access is enabled. Do not include sensitive personal data, private addresses without permission, or content you do not have rights to share. A link is not a security boundary.
3. Prices & payment authorization
For an event with free guest RSVPs, the host pays a required $5 USD setup fee before publishing. For an event with paid RSVPs, the guest price must be at least $10 USD per RSVP and no $5 setup fee applies. Each paid RSVP reserves one guest spot.
For paid RSVPs the platform retains 10% of the collected guest price; the remaining 90% is allocated to the host through Stripe Connect, subject to payment verification, Stripe payout availability, refunds, disputes, and applicable adjustments. The platform intends to pay standard processing costs from its share. Hosts must complete Stripe onboarding and accept applicable Stripe agreements.
The exact price is shown before checkout. No recurring subscriptions are included. We do not store full payment card numbers. A payment return page is not proof of payment; confirmation depends on a verified Stripe payment event.
4. Gifts & wishlist claims
Hosts may link an Amazon wishlist and manually add items to a shared checklist. A claim means a guest intends to bring an item. It is not a purchase, payment, reservation with Amazon, or guarantee of delivery. Guests buy through Amazon separately under Amazon’s terms.
rsv-we is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. This version does not import Amazon accounts, synchronize purchases, or modify Amazon wishlist status. Do not use wishlist claims to collect money outside the stated checkout flow.
5. Invitations & communications
Hosts can copy invitation links, download QR invitations, or open a prefilled message in their own email app. rsv-we does not automatically send invitations or confirmation emails in this version. Hosts must have permission to contact recipients and follow applicable communications rules. Guest emails are for event coordination, not an automatic marketing opt-in.
6. Cancellation, enforcement & content rights
See the payment and refund policy for cancellations and adjustments. We may restrict abusive accounts, unlawful content, impersonation, fraud, and attempts to defeat platform fees or security. Hosts retain rights to their content and grant permission to store and display it only to provide the service.
Report infringing content to the operator contact once configured. An intellectual property complaint process and designated agent details, if used, must be completed before launch.
7. Service limits & California law
To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided as available without a promise that an event will occur or that a guest will attend. Nothing in these terms waives rights that cannot legally be waived. Final liability terms, business identity, dispute process, and California venue provisions require legal review before activation.
California law is the intended governing law, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Hosting technology may process data outside California; operating from California is not a promise of California-only data residency. Material changes to final terms will be disclosed with an updated date and appropriate notice.
