Good company. Clear payment terms.
Payments, cancellations & refunds · Draft for operator review · Prepared October 30, 2026
1. What you pay
All prices are in USD. A free-to-attend event requires one $5 setup payment from its host before publication. Paid events require a minimum guest price of $10 per RSVP; no separate $5 setup fee applies. The platform retains 10% and the host is allocated 90% of paid RSVP amounts. No surprise platform booking fee is added at checkout.
Example: at a $10 guest price, the platform share is $1 and the host allocation is $9, before any refunds, disputes, or adjustments. The platform pays standard processing costs from its own share. Actual Stripe pricing depends on the configured account and transaction; a 10% platform share is not a guarantee of profitability.
2. Setup fees & guest cancellations
Proposed launch policy: once a free event has successfully published, its $5 setup fee is ordinarily nonrefundable except where required by law, where a duplicate payment occurs, or where the platform fails to provide the paid setup. This proposal requires operator approval before live charges are enabled.
Proposed guest policy: guests may request a cancellation from the host. If the host cancels an event or the event cannot be provided, guests should receive a full refund unless a different lawful resolution is agreed. Any optional host cancellation terms must be clearly presented before checkout and cannot override mandatory rights. This version does not offer custom host refund rules.
3. How refunds are handled
Refunds are not issued automatically when an event is cancelled. Hosts must contact guests and coordinate refunds through Stripe and the platform operator. For destination-charge refunds, the operator must configure transfer reversals and application-fee refunds so the intended amounts are recovered and returned correctly.
Original processing fees, dispute costs, foreign exchange adjustments, account limitations, and tax obligations may affect the platform’s economics. The operator must finalize who bears exceptional costs in the Stripe Connect agreement and these terms before launch. Do not promise that all payments always cost less than 10% to process.
4. Confirmation, payouts & disputes
An RSVP becomes confirmed only when the platform receives a verified successful payment from Stripe. Stripe onboarding, verification, reserves, and payout schedules control when hosts receive funds. rsv-we does not promise instant payouts.
Guests should first contact their host regarding event changes, and the operator regarding platform billing issues. A functioning support contact and response workflow must be added before launch. Nothing here restricts statutory refund rights or valid payment disputes.
